The First Annual IFRS AFRICA Symposium 2021
The IFRS AFRICA Symposium 2021 brought together a network of IFRS accounting professionals from across the continent to discuss the most pertinent issues facing IFRS reporting in a mid- and post COVID world as well as looking forward to economic development on the continent and digital transformation within the accounting sphere.
This was a virtual symposium and the first of its kind undertaken in South Africa and Africa. The first ever annual IFRS AFRICA Symposium was a landmark event that brought together a panel of the top thought leaders in the field of IFRS financial reporting and was attended by delegates from across South Africa and from the key African countries that IFRS Training currently has a footprint in.
Despite the challenges presented by the onset of the COVID19 pandemic, 2021 was the ideal year to launch this Symposium as the world of financial reporting has undergone major upheaval due to the impact of COVID-19 and the Symposium presented an international platform to discuss this and other pertinent topics related to IFRS financial reporting.
